Wholesome, Natural, Tasty Beef

Wholesome

Most people do not realize cattle are designed to eat forages like grass and hay. Not grain. Their digestive systems turn the nutrients in grass into more nutritious and better tasting beef. Also when cattle consume their natural diet they do not require antibiotics and other chemicals to thrive. Some health benefits for you and your family:

  • Higher in Omega-3 fatty acids. A natural antioxidant and heart friendly fatty acid.
  • High in conjuated linoleic acid (CLA) a healthy animal fat showing promise as a "cancer fighter" and in preventing certain forms of diabetes when CLA is derived from grassfed cattle.
  • May help in healthy weight loss.

Natural

Our cattle are sustainably raised and rotationally grazed on our farm in Whitewater, Wisconsin. They have constant access to pasture and harvested grass and hay . We believe this is the best way to raise healthy, lean beef. Other benefits:

  • Our way of raising cattle cares for the environment as well as producing healthy meat.
  • Rotational grazing regenerates the soil, prevents erosion, and improves the environment.
  • Our cattle grow at a natural rate producing nutrient-dense meat.

Tasty

Our grassfed beef may taste different from grain fed beef. The saying "you are what you eat" is true for cattle too. Our pastures are a pasture mix, producing tasty beef as well as healthy beef which requires little seasoning.  General tips for cooking grassfed beef:

  • Cooking grass-fed beef is best rare to medium-rare.
  • On the grill-cook quick!
  • Like it well done-use a slow moist cooking method (crock pot).
